Post-Disaster Recovery & Reconstruction
- Status: Program in Development
- Type: Standard
When disaster strikes, whether cyclones, earthquakes, or floods, our response begins with urgency and compassion. In the immediate aftermath of a catastrophe, PBG Foundation will mobilise to deliver life-saving aid: clean water, temporary shelter, emergency food supplies, and trauma care kits for those displaced. However, we know recovery doesn’t end when the headlines do. Our commitment extends into the long term. After the initial crisis phase, we stay on the ground to help rebuild what was lost. This includes repairing and refitting vital infrastructure like hospitals and schools, as well as constructing modular community hubs that can double as emergency shelters and long-term safe spaces. Each intervention is guided by the voices of those affected, we work closely with local communities to ensure we rebuild with them, not just for them. And in everything we do, we align with international humanitarian best practices, so that the aid we provide is effective, culturally appropriate, and sustainable.
