We’re excited to share that the Unity Park initiative has received formal support from local authorities in Vanuatu. The Mayor of Luganville (the main town on Espiritu Santo island) has issued a letter of support endorsing the Unity Park project and highlighting its alignment with the community’s needs and priorities. In the letter, the Mayor commended PBG Foundation for addressing a long-standing gap in community infrastructure, providing a safe and inclusive space for children and families that will benefit the whole town. This municipal endorsement is an important step forward: it means we have the green light to proceed with local cooperation, and it cements our partnership with the community we aim to serve. Our team on the ground, led by Project Director Alexander de Groot in Santo, has been working closely with the Luganville Council to ensure Unity Park complements public plans and truly belongs to the community. With local government and citizens on board, Unity Park is not just a foundation project, it’s a shared vision for the future of Santo. We look forward to breaking ground soon and will keep everyone updated as we enter the construction phase!
